About The Event

At City Acre, we love pork in all its forms, and we know that you do, too. Come show off your cooking skills at the first ever Pig Pimpin’ cooking competition.

It’s $40 for a team of four to enter and that gets you two pitchers of our beer. Drink it or cook with it, your choice!

We’re making it easy, with only three rules:

1. You must use pork as your main protein

2. You must use at least one of the six standard City Acre beers (Hitchcock Blonde, Bayouwulf IPA, Eastex Session Ale, TXPA Pale Ale, Sneaky Wheat Stout or Skull Creek Kölsch)

3. Any prep can be done ahead of time, but actual cooking has to be done onsite. You can be onsite as early as 6am. Food service begins at 12 noon.

Feel free to sear, sauté, smoke, boil, broil, fry, braise, roast, broast, simmer or whatever you want. Make soups, chilis, sandwiches, curries, stir-fries or anything else you fancy, but you must make enough samples for 200 people (about 4-5 gals if your entry takes a liquid form).

1st - $160 Gift Card, Merchandise Pack, and Two 6 Packs of Beer

2nd - $120 Gift Card and a 6 Pack of Beer

3rd - $80 Gift Card
